Sharc's Steakout - The Backstory

Sharc's Steakout has its beginnings in a rather odd place - the high school bleachers.  No focus groups, no boardroom meetings, and no corporate executives.  We were just two parents cheering our kids at their sports events, wishing we could get food which matched the energy and commitment we saw on the fields.  We were tired of "concession stand cuisine", prepackaged products, and short cuts you could taste.

We traded the sidelines for the sizzle, bringing our shared obsession great steaks made with premium fresh ribeye and quality ingredients to the streets.  Our love for the game, combined with our desire for great food is the reason why every cheesesteak we serve, every appetizer we make, and every dessert we sell is made with the same heart and high standards which brought us together in the first place.   Every cheese steak starts with freshly sliced premium rib eye or fresh chicken, cooked to order on a hot grill, combined with only the highest quality cheese, deliciously melted into the meat, and then loaded into a fresh artisan roll.  The result is a cheese steak you won't find just anywhere.    Don't take our word for it though - find the truck and see for yourself!

 

What's with the Name?

When we started this venture, we put out a call to friends, family, and anyone else who wanted to help come up with a name. The ideas were all great, but one stuck out - a simple concept which worked well based on the names of the two partners, Shane and Marc (We probably wouldn't have gone with this if our names were Don and Kirk...).  As a former law enforcement officer, the idea of a STEAKout just made sense, and the rest of the vision pretty much filled itself in.
